Cubs Urban Hike,
We will meet in East Finchley and take the tube to Woodside Park and walk back via the Dollis Valley Greenway, approx 8km very flat walk alongside a little known part of the Capital Ring footpath.
There is a chance we will see Herons, Egrets and perhaps even a kingfisher and a certainty we'll see a few shopping trolleys in the brook
We'll finish off with some chip shop chips in Cherry Tree Woods.

What is it
A chance to fly like a bird
Soar like a bird in the tunnel that introduced the wonders of indoor skydiving to Britain! With a 12ft (3.66m) diameter design and wind speeds reaching 165 mph, it’s a great place to visit for your first indoor skydiving experience. With wheelchair access and highly trained instructors, we welcome flyers of all abilities
Numbers are limited and included 2 flights each plus photos/video plus 'High Fly' (when they spin you around).

Sun 22nd May (9:45am - 4:00pm) District Cub Badge Day Where: Scout Park The district Badge day will give the cubs a chance to join over 100 cubs from across North London and complete a whole activity badge in a day
Places are limited and some badges are often oversubscribed so you will be asked to select a first and second choice badge in the confirmation screen when you sign up - we try to allocate first choices where possible
Cubs will need to bring a water bottle and packed lunch (yes even the cooking badges)
Arrive 9:30 for registration, finishing 4pm, cost £5.50
Badges are run by leaders from across the district so the cubs may not be with their usual leaders who know them so it is important that the medical/allergy info is filled in and contact details are up to date
Badges running are:
- Backwoods cooking - always popular - making a fire and cooking a meal over it using a range of bushcraft techniques
- Cyclist - bike maintenance, safety and skills (cubs will need own bike and helmet)

The East Finchley Festival has been bringing the local community together for over 40 years. It gets bigger each year with more stalls and more entertainment and it’s totally free to attend.

We are pleased to announce our annual End of Term Group BBQ is back. This is open to all Cubs, Scouts, Leaders, Supporters of the Group and their Families.
The evening will commence at 18.30 at the Training Field and include a BBQ (various Burgers, sausages, buns and salads)
We will also be having a campfire with repeat after me songs, parents various kids and more
At around 19.30 we will hold our Annual General Meeting and presentations which we ask parents to attend. This short formality will take no longer than 15 minute
So that we can organise the catering can you please confirm your attendance (either "yes" or "no" ) and also indicate how many people will be attending and any catering requirements.
If you have more than one child in the group please respond to all children's invitations but only add guest numbers to that of the oldest ... |

What is it
This is a weekend for all cubs and scouts to have a full ion water experience and finding out about life on a ship from the Revali to evening Colors. The Sunday will finish with our very own and very wet regatta
Where is it
The water activity weekend will be held in the Docklands Scout Project which is based at West India Key on the Isle of Dogs http://www.lordamory.org/location.asp and we will be sleeping on board Lord Amory - a 150 foot /47 metre, ex Dutch Pilot Cutter built in the late 1930‟s
