Beavers in Highgate/East Finchldey playing hockey

After a summer of adventures, our 224 Beavers have returned with a bang!

This week, 22 enthusiastic Beavers kicked off their first meeting of the new term with fun games and team-building activities, setting the stage for a great season ahead. The excitement was apparent as they reconnected, made new friends, and learned valuable skills.

Next week, we’ll dive into the Health and Fitness badge, a core part of their journey towards the prestigious Chief Scout Bronze Award – the highest honour a Beaver can earn. This badge promotes physical well-being and teaches the importance of teamwork, perseverance, and healthy habits – all while having fun!

The popularity of our 224 Beavers has grown rapidly since we launched just six months ago. We now have only two places left before we’ll need to start a waiting list! It’s incredible to see such enthusiasm, but to meet demand and ensure every child has a great experience, we need more volunteer team members.

We’re looking for both adults and young leaders who want to make a difference in the lives of these young adventurers. Whether you’re passionate about giving back to your community or aged 14-18 and completing your Duke of Edinburgh Award, we’d love to have you on board! Volunteering with us is not only rewarding but also a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills, meet new people, and make a lasting impact.

At 224 Beavers, we focus on creating a safe, inclusive, and exciting environment where children can thrive. From earning badges to making lifelong memories, there’s always something new to discover. If you or someone you know is interested in joining our team or volunteering, now’s the time to get involved!
