Want to get involved with 224 North London Air Scouts? Whether you can help every week, once a month, or just now and then — we’ve got flexible volunteering roles to suit all kinds of people.

From working directly with young people to behind-the-scenes support, you don’t need any previous experience — just enthusiasm. Scroll down to see what’s available right now.

Beaver Team Member (Ages 6–8)

Our Beaver colonies are growing fast, and we’re looking for extra adults to help plan and run games, crafts, and adventurous activities. No experience needed — just a positive attitude and a sense of fun.

Cub Team Member (Ages 8–10)

Our Tuesday night Cub Pack is bursting at the seams, and we need extra help to keep sessions safe, exciting and engaging.

We’re also looking to open a new Saturday Cub Pack (11:15 a.m.–1:00 p.m.), and we’re seeking adults interested in being part of the launch team.

Trustees (Non-uniformed Support)

If you’d prefer to support us behind the scenes, our Board of Trustees is looking for new members to help with:

  • Fundraising
  • Maintenance
  • Publicity and communications
  • Finance or admin

No uniform, no weekly meetings — just a few hours of your time (and a significant impact).

Young Leaders (Ages 14–18)

Want to get involved as part of your DofE volunteering or build confidence and leadership skills? Join us as a Young Leader. You’ll help run games, support activities and make a real difference in your community.

Skills Instructors and Guest Volunteers

Do you have a passion or hobby you’d love to share with young people? Whether it’s first aid, fire-lighting, crafts, cooking, climbing or coding — we’d love to hear from you. You could join us for a one-off session or something more regular. New ideas are always welcome.

All volunteers complete standard background checks, and most roles involve some basic online training. We’ll guide you through every step.
