Scout Active support is designed for those who wish to become team members but cannot commit every week and form the group’s backbone. It is also a varied role, so you may be helping with some DIY at the hut, cooking for an AGM, helping on camp or helping to cover one of the sections at 224 as we don’t have enough adults to make the meeting work (especially away from the hut)

We understand that many of you have full-time commitments, but sparing a few hours occasionally can go a long way in supporting our cause. By joining our Scout Active Support team, you can contribute to the growth and development of your child and other young individuals within our community.

What We Need

You don’t need to be an expert camper or wilderness guru to help out. We value your patience, willingness to assist, and dedication to helping young people learn and grow. Your role is crucial in fostering a supportive environment where mistakes are seen as learning opportunities and resilience is encouraged.

Benefits of Volunteering

As a volunteer, you’ll have the opportunity to witness your child thrive while positively impacting the lives of numerous other young individuals.
