Below is a report from one of the cubs in they recent activity camp at Thriftwood
“When I went to scout camp, I had a good time. On the first night, we set up our tents and we had hot chocolate. Sleeping in the tent was hard.. I had noisy neighbours and we had to keep it tidy for tent inspections.
Had lots of fun activities like the climbing tower, water roller, cave bus, kayaking and cresta run. The cresta run was my favourite, its like a roller coster you sit in a small cart that looks like a sleigh and roll dawn a hill till you hit a mattress. I was sad to leave my family, but my leaders helped me to be brave and stay the night.
I learnt a good trick to roll up my sleeping bag when you wake up so bugs don’t get inside.
The camp was really fun. “
