When you join the 224 North London Scouts, you will be required to wear a uniform that makes you part of the team but, more importantly, part of the worldwide family of Scouts and will be recognised wherever you go

‘. Here’s what you need to know:

Beaver Uniform

  • Core Attire: Torquise Beaver sweatshirt and a group scarf (or ‘necker’).
  • Dark school trousers
  • Darks shoes
  • Scarf provided by the group

Uniforms can be purchased from Scout Shops Ltd or the District Scout Shop, but please check opening times via Facebook. Like all Scouting, it is run by volunteers, and profits go back into the district.

The district has a uniform shop that is usually open on Saturdays, but please check before going. If you’re unsure about what to get or where to find it, don’t worry! Ask your leader for more details, and they’ll point you in the right direction.

Second-hand uniform

The group is looking to set up a recycled uniform shop where parents can donate their old uniforms as long as they are in good condition so others may use them for a small donation to the group.

Financial Assistance

We believe every Young Person should have the opportunity to be a Beaver, Cub or Scout regardless of financial situation. If money concerns might prevent your child from participating in Scouting or specific activities, please talk to Del, our Group Lead Volunteer, and we will see what help the group can provide.
