Are you looking for a fun, friendly activity where your child can make new friends, learn new skills and enjoy exciting adventures?
224 North London Air Scouts currently has spaces available in our Beaver Scout Colony, and we’d love to welcome new members.
Beaver Scouts is the second section of the Scout Movement and is open to children aged 6 to 8 years. Every week is packed with games, crafts, outdoor activities and exciting challenges that help young people build confidence while having fun.
What do Beaver Scouts do?
No two meetings are ever the same.
Our Beaver Scouts regularly enjoy activities such as:
- Outdoor adventures and nature activities.
- Creative crafts and model making.
- Team games and problem-solving challenges.
- Science and discovery projects.
- Cooking and practical skills.
- Community activities.
- Badge challenges.
- Visits and special events.
Along the way, they develop confidence, teamwork, resilience and independence while making friends and creating memories that will last for years.
When do Beavers meet?
Our Beaver Scout Colony meets every:
Saturday
10:00 am – 11:00 am
At our Scout Headquarters on Sheldon Avenue, Highgate, serving families from Highgate, East Finchley and the surrounding areas.
Free Taster Sessions
We understand that trying something new can feel like a big step, which is why we invite all prospective members to come along for a free taster session.
It’s a great opportunity for your child to meet the leaders, join in with the activities, make new friends and see what Beaver Scouts is all about before deciding whether to join.
Looking for a younger section?
If you have a child aged 4 to 6 years, we’re also delighted to have launched our brand-new Squirrel Scout Dray, which meets every Saturday from9:00 amm to 10:00 am, immediately before Beavers.
This makes Saturday mornings ideal for families with children in different age groups.
