224 North London Air Scout Group –

  1. This agreement is between the person/persons signing the license (hereafter referred to as the Licensee) and the 224 North London Air Scout Group (hereafter referred to as the Group).
  2. The Licensee accepts full responsibility for complying with these conditions and ensuring prompt payment of all fees due to the Group, as outlined in the Licence Agreement.
  3. The Licensee must be a responsible adult over 21 acting as guarantor and responsible for maintaining orderly behaviour at all times. The Licensee must remain on the premises for the agreed use.
  4. The premises may only be used for the purpose specified in the Licence Agreement.
  5. The Group reserves the right to refuse or cancel an agreement without reason. The Group will not be liable to the Licensee for any closure of the premises or interruption of use due to events beyond its control.
  6. If requested, a 10% Booking Deposit must be paid within 7 days of agreeing. The remaining balance must be paid no later than 7 days before the start of use, unless otherwise agreed with the hall booking secretary.
  7. At the Group’s discretion, a Refundable Damage Security Deposit of £100 may be required from the Licensee.
  8. Any damage to the premises, grounds, or equipment, as well as any breakages or losses, must be rectified by the Licensee or will be repaired/replaced by the Group at the Licensee’s expense.
  9. The Group is not liable for the theft, damage, or loss of any personal belongings or equipment brought onto the premises by the Licensee or their guests.
  10. The Group accepts no responsibility for injuries to any person or damage to personal property during the agreed period of use. Any accidents must be reported at the end of the period using the End of Use Checklist.
  11. As part of being a good neighbour to the local community, all music must stop by 10 pm. The Licensee must ensure noise levels remain reasonable, particularly regarding amplified music, and must minimise disturbance when leaving the premises and car park. If the use of amplified equipment or late-night entertainment is planned, this must be requested in advance. The Group reserves the right to cancel agreements under Clause 5.
  12. No alcohol may be sold on the premises or grounds. The Licensee is responsible for ensuring that anyone under the age of 18 does not consume alcohol.
  13. The Licensee must comply with all fire safety regulations. Gangways, corridors, entrances, and exits must always remain clear. Highly flammable substances are not permitted, and chairs or tables must not obstruct radiators.
  14. In the event of a fire, the Fire Brigade must be called immediately, no matter how minor, and the incident reported to the Group.
  15. Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the premises, in accordance with the law.
  16. A designated representative of the Group has the right to access the premises at any time. The Licensee must follow any instructions given by the Group’s representative, whether verbal or written.
  17. The Licensee is responsible for the security of the premises during the period of use and must ensure the building is not left unattended at any time.
  18. At the end of the agreed period, the Licensee must leave the premises in a clean and tidy condition. This includes:
  • Turning off all lights.
  • Do not touch the heating, as it is controlled remotely via Hive.
  • Securing all doors and windows.
  • All rubbish must be taken home and removed from the site.
  • Returning chairs, tables, and other equipment to their original places.
  • Washing and putting away any used kitchenware.

If the premises are left in an unacceptable condition, the Group reserves the right to impose additional charges or withhold the security deposit. An End of Use Checklist will be provided to clarify the expected condition of the hall.

  1. No dogs are allowed on site.
  2. Any organisations using the hall must have their own public liability insurance.
  3. The 224 North London Air Scout Group reserves the right to revise these conditions or adjust fees at any time.
